We work hard to improve our language and communication skills. When I first learned grammar and studied languages, I thought it was very rigid. My perception was I would learn the rules and the language, and that would be it. I quickly learned that this was false.

I know for many people who learn English, they are used to learning from books and many strategies haven’t worked. The methods of learning English were very traditional or you have taught yourself and picked up some bad habits or never been corrected for the mistakes that you might be making.

When I teach language learning strategies and language acquisition, I am always looking to share new and different strategies that are not based on memorising words or learning from books, or memorising the entire dictionary…!

In today’s episode, I am sharing some common vocabulary mistakes English learners make and how I have been able to embrace my own language mistakes and some tips for how you can, too.
