I find myself having a very familiar conversation with many adult English language learners from across the world. They want to know their English level. They ask if their English is good enough or proficient enough? I know they aren’t satisfied with being given a label like ‘upper intermediate’ or ‘B1’. What does that even mean? It can be frustrating.

They want to be able to develop skills around the language they are using in their jobs or for very specific situations like delivering presentations, facilitating meetings or getting buy-in from their team. It could even be so they can take their family on a trip to another country.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing how we can best approach our learning so it’s focused in order to make the most progress in the areas you most need in developing English communication.

I’m sharing some of the best strategies that successful language learners do to reach a higher level of proficiency and success.
